This traditional Teochew sweet tau sar piah is filled with mung beans and marked with white sesame seeds sprinkled on the top. Not to be confused with close cousin, the Red Bean.
Each tau sar piah is individually wrapped and sealed.
The piah is 素 (vegetarian), vegan friendly and Muslim friendly - no pork, no lard, no butter, eggs, milk nor onions are added.

House of Tau Sar Piah 豆沙饼之家 bakes vegetarian 素, vegan traditional green bean biscuits called tau sar piah. There are 11 regular flavours including the bestsellers salty and sweet mung bean and are handmade daily. Established since 1995, the bakery is located at 529 Balestier Rd, next to Kwan Imm Temple and opens daily from 8am-6pm.
